The BRIDE (Biodiversity Regeneration In a Dairying Environment) Project is a European Innovation Partnership (EIP) project that is aimed at restoring, preserving and enhancing biodiversity on intensively managed farmland in the River Bride catchment of Northeast Cork and West Waterford. Tony Nagle will explain how project uses a targeted, results-based approach to approximately fifty farmers in the Bride Valley.

The Barn Owl has long been shrouded in mystery and linked to our folklore. While their population has declined, it remains one of our most iconic birds. In this talk John Lusby of Birdwatch Ireland will explore the unique allure of Barn Owls, their importance in the Irish countryside. He will also outline the research and conservation efforts being made to help the Barn Owl population in County Kerry, which is a stronghold for this nocturnal hunter.
